National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) 2020 (UPSC (UG) 2020)-The National Testing Agency has set eligibility criteria for UPSC 2020. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UPSC) is the only entrance test for students who wish to apply for medical courses (MBBS), dental courses (BDS), AYUSH, Veterinary and other medical/paramedical courses in India. UPSC-UG has replaced All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all other individual medical entrance examinations under the leadership of states or colleges.
UPSC 2020 led annually will be temporarily held at 154 testing centres. It is the most important medical entrance examination in India with around 16 lakh candidates. The entrance exam for admission to medical colleges will ease the pressure of students who are anxious while preparing for different Tests and covering the various syllabus. All aspirants get equal opportunity to secure a seat. UPSC (UG) - 2020 will be conducted in single phase and will be an objective type test. It is a pen and paper-based exam to be answered on a specially designed machine gradable sheet using ballpoint pens.
To be eligible for UPSC 2020, candidates must pass the 12th standard examination with Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English subjects. For general category candidates, it is mandatory to bring 50% marks in 12th standard, while SC / ST / OBC category candidates have to get 40% marks to become eligible for UPSC 2020.
UPSC is regulated by NTA for selection of candidates for admission to 15% seats under All India Quota Seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, and AIIMS & JIPMER will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS for Undergraduate Medical Courses. Online counselling will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health services of Medical Counselling Committee for undergraduate medical courses.
The option of medium of question paper should be carefully selected while filling the application form. Once selected the option cannot be changed. The candidates selected for the regional languages will also be provided with a bilingual test booklet in the selected regional language and English. Candidates can choose the question paper in any of the following 11 languages.

Both the papers are objective types, set in both English and Hindi language and the exam details are provided by the exam notice and notification is published by the Government. Duration of each paper is 2 hours. Candidate should note that incorrect response get negative marking (1/3 of the assigned marks to that question is deducted from the aggregate). There will be no marks deducted for the questions left blank. The cut off marks at present in 33%. Marks acquired in paper 1 will be considered for the merit rank.
Mains: The question paper for the civil services (Main) for the exam are of essay type. Duration of the exam is 3 hours for each paper. It consist of 9 papers but Marks acquired in 7 papers will be considered for the merit rank and the other 2 are language papers (Paper A and Paper B) For paper A -Candidates will have to choose the Indian language option in the paper.
Note: The Paper A on Indian Language is not mandatory for the candidates of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim. For paper B- Candidates will have question from English language. Mode of paper is subjective type
Interview: After clearing Prelims and Mains. One must acquire marks in the interview for personality test will be counted in merit ranking.

Cut-off marks are subject to change, as may be required by orders which may be passed by the Honourable Courts in cases pending before them. Details of the category-wise recommendations will also be uploaded after the conclusion of pending cases in the court.
Cut off marks in the Prelims is on the basis of GS Paper-I only. As per Rule-15 of GS Paper-II Civil Services Examination, 2019, it was of a qualifying nature with 33% marks.
Subject to 10% marks in each of the seven competitive papers i.e. Essay Writing, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III, GS-IV, Optional-I and Optional-II. If the candidate is acquiring equal marks/percentile then among themselves merit will be determined in CSE Exam 2019 as follows:
Prelims papers can be first solved after reading NCERT and then candidates can tally their answers with official answer key available on UPSC official website. NCERT and previous years question papers are also very helpful in clearing the UPSC Prelims.
But to qualify for Mains exam, candidate can first solve previous years question papers and then check the main solved question paper of UPSC. Candidate can refer other books along with previous years question papers to Ace UPSC CSE 2020.
With the help of previous years question papers candidates will get familiar with exam pattern, types of questions and weightage of questions. The primary objective of these question papers is to bring clarity about the process of linking the questions to the performance indicators and hence definitely the results.
