Chemical reactions and equations is a very fundamental chapter that deals with basic knowledge of chemical reactions and equations. The chemical reaction is an essential phenomenon in our lives. We come across various chemical reactions like rusting of iron, curdling of milk, respiration, digestion and growth. The chapter teaches about different chemical reactions such as Combination Reaction, Decomposition reaction, Displacement Reaction, and Double Displacement Reaction along with various examples and chemical reactions. Based on energy, exothermic and endothermic reactions are explained. Exothermic reactions are those reactions in which heat is given out along with the products, and endothermic reactions are those reactions in which energy is absorbed. Then redox reaction is explained, which is a combination of reduction reaction and oxidation reaction.
