NCERT Solutions for Class 8 Civics Chapter 4 Understanding Laws

All persons in independent India are equal before the law. All laws apply equally to all citizens of the country, and no one can be above the law. That means, the law cannot discriminate between persons based on their religion, caste or gender. Any crime or violation of law has a specific punishment. It is defined as a body of legal rules that have been made by judges at issue rolling on cases as opposed to rules and laws made by the legislature or in official statues. The laws are clear, publicized, and stable; are applied evenly; and protect fundamental rights, including the security of persons and contract, property, and human rights. The processes by which the laws are enacted, administered, and enforced are accessible, fair, and efficient.
