The story, “The Shepherd’s Treasure” is Iranian folklore in which the king rewards a wise and honest shepherd for his honesty, wisdom and goodness. The purpose of this chapter is to guide students and help them to realise the significance of maintaining kindness, humility, wisdom and sympathy for others. The period is long back when there were very few schools. The shepherd was friendly and wise. Through common sense, he advised people and helped them out of their troubles.
