Data is a collection of numbers gathered to give some information. The data has to be organized first, to get particular information from the given data quickly. The organization of data can be done in various ways. One way to organize data is by using tally marks. It helps answer the questions on the data at a glance. Data handling is the process of ensuring that research data is stored, archived or disposed off safely and securely during and after the conclusion of a research project. It includes the development of policies and procedures to manage data handled electronically as well as through non-electronic means. Data handling plays a vital role in mathematics education since it encompasses real-world situations and assists in developing critical thinking skills in learners. The findings indicate that participants used different pedagogic strategies when teaching data handling.
